Technician to join the night shift team.
- Shift: Night shift, 10pm–6am
- Days: Monday night to Saturday morning
- Type: Casual ongoing contract with full‑time hours
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, thrives in a fast‑paced production environment, and has strong troubleshooting ability.
Key Duties:- Monitor machinery throughout the shift to ensure smooth, continuous operation.
- Identify early signs of mechanical issues and take corrective action to minimise downtime.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and meet production targets.
- Perform full set‑ups and changeovers of dies, moulds, and associated equipment according to production requirements.
- Dismantle machinery components safely and efficiently for cleaning, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
- Diagnose mechanical or process issues and implement solutions to restore optimal performance.
- Work closely with maintenance teams when escalated repairs are required.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of production equipment, ensuring all components are free from contamination.
Skills & Experience- Tertiary education in Engineering or related technical field
- Previous experience as a Machine Setter / Operator within FMCG, plastics, packaging, or a similar high‑speed manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot machinery confidently.
- Current forklift licence is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, strong time management, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A proactive, safety‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving ability.
