About the Role:

Our client is a national food and beverage manufacturer of globally renowned brands, based in the Western suburbs of Brisbane.  With sites based across Australia, their Brisbane site is seeking a Sensory Technician to assist with sensory evaluation trials, logging of data/results and collecting retention samples throughout the factory. This is a casual position for approximately 2 months to cover leave, with possible extension for ad hoc shifts after January.

Reporting to the Quality Manager the sensory technician will be responsible for (but not limited to):
  • Collecting samples from various manufacturing lines throughout the factory;
  • Setting up sensory trials and meetings;
  • Use of excel, word and in house QMS;
  • General house-keeping;
  • Assisting with customer compliant investigation, reporting and implementing corrective actions with the senior members of the Quality team;
  • Assist with identification of problems and non-conformances within the manufacturing process.
Skills & Experience:
To be considered for this position, applicants will require:
  • Experience in production/manufacturing is desired;
  • Previous experience in a Quality role within the food manufacturing/FMCG industry advantageous but not essential;
  • A demonstrated high level of communication, interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Excellent computer and Microsoft office skills are essential;
  • The ability to work autonomously;
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to your work;
  • Able to commence work immediately;
  • Your own reliable vehicle as this site is not close to public transport;
