About the role:
  • Leading provider to the healthcare market
  • Based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne 
  • Permanent Opportunity
  • Monday to Friday, full time hours, with possibility of weekend work

About your duties: 
  • Coordinate the effective and timely management of quality control testing of raw materials, intermediates and final products
  • Ensure training requirements are met for QC Analysts and QC Support Assistants, as per established processes and procedures
  • Following approved procedures to perform a range of tests, Immunohaematology assays, Antibody Screening and Phenotyping.
  • Assist in specimen reception duties by logging and receiving samples onto the Laboratory Information System
  • QC processes are validated, and qualified equipment and premises conform to GxP requirements.
  • All equipment is appropriately validated, maintained and within calibration.
  • Support the operational area pro-actively to prevent invalid assays
  • Review, approve and authorise QC test results as per approved procedures

About you: 
  • Tertiary education in Science
  • Experience in Pathology/Laboratory, Reference Immunohaematology or blood banking
  • Working knowledge of applicable GMP/GLP regulations, TGA guidelines, and other applicable regulations and guidance
  • Proven technical writing and editing skills
  • Demonstrated track record in effective project management
