About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Scientist who is responsible for pre-project planning, laboratory-based work, data analysis and reporting, overall project leadership and client communication. Duties may include but are not limited to:
 
  • Develop detailed project plans for assigned projects. 
  • Receive and process PBMCs
  • Coordinate and execute all aspects of assigned projects, including method development, SOPs and forms, qualification/validation, technical work, routine data collection, data analysis, data reporting, logistics, timelines, deliverables and resources (staff, reagents).
  • Designs, plans, performs, documents, and interprets scientific experiments, including method development and validation. Supports, and at times leads, maintenance and qualification of technical equipment
  • Acts as the primary scientific liaison for assigned company clients.
  • Manages operational aspects in the laboratory.
  • Supports bioanalytical laboratory team members to achieve their best performance
  • Sign off and record training as per the QMS
  • Mentors junior staff members in their area of expertise

About you:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, immunology, cellular/molecular biology, or other related area is required. Master’s degree or PhD is preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an industry setting is preferred.
  • Experience in an ISO/NATA-accredited regulatory environment is highly advantageous 
  • Demonstrated experience in PBMC processing is highly regarded
  • Experience in Sepmate is advantageous
  • Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Methodological, thorough and good attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to manage shifting demands and changing priorities, proactively looking for ways to contribute
