About the company/role: We are currently seeking a
Senior Process Engineer to join our client’s pilot-plant at their stage one precursor production facility based in
Yarwun, Gladstone. This a permanent position covering an 8 hour day shift Monday to Friday.
As a
Senior Process Engineer, you will provide technical direction to the site team throughout the design, development and operational phases of the project to optimise production processes and control safety environment and quality risks. You will ser as the technical lead on assigned projects and be responsible for conducting risk assessments, studies and experiments to identify the root cause of quality problems
PLEASE NOTE: Applicants will be required to undertake a full medical assessment; drug screening and police check to be eligible for this role. Duties: - Active involvement in the commissioning of the commercial plant
- Develop, configure and optimise the processes from inception through to start up and certification
- Provide technical support to the production and maintenance teams
- Initiate, manage and implement process changes and improvement, ensuring proper change management practices are followed
- Develop the technical capabilities of Process Engineers and Operational staff
Skills/experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Process or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years experience in manufacturing
- Experience leading improvement projects
- Proven and demonstrated experience within a chemical handling/process operation environment
- Experience leading teams
- Ability to solve practical problems, handle multiple tasks effectively and able to work with minimal supervision
