Senior Mechatronics Technician

About the company/role: Our client is an Australian medical device company specialising in infection prevention. They are looking for a Senior Mechatronics Technician to join them on a 6-month contract to assist with the assembly, development and commissioning of equipment.

Duties:

• Electrically and mechanically assemble using hand and power tools
• Prepare wire harnesses and circuit boarding (hand soldering)
• Procure and order as per the Bill of Materials
• Create and document wiring schematics using AutoCAD
• Support PCBA production test systems
• Assist with the scope, design, procurement, implementation, and handover of capital projects.

Skills/experience:

• Confident reading mechanical drawings and wiring schematics
• Previous experience in building and assembling mechatronics products
• Good understanding of basic electrical and mechanical principles
• Prior experience in machining and/or CNC is highly regarded
• Ability to work safely in workshop environments
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office/365 Suite).
