Sales Assistant

About the company/role:

• Based in the Western suburbs of Melbourne
• Seeking a self-motivated Sales Assistant to join the team
• Permanent opportunity
• Fulltime hours, normal business hours

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Manage order to delivery for both sales and purchase orders
• Process sales orders, issue confirmation to customers
• Forecast and generate purchase orders
• Prepare order and shipping documents, circulate as necessary
• Freight management, including request quotations, process bookings and delivery tracking
• Manage customer queries
• Assist with enquiries, phone calls and emails, parcel delivery/pickup and maintain updated customer and supplier details
• Preparation of samples and documentation to customers (national and international)
• Monitor customer orders to meet expected delivery schedules, liaising with the production team for order fulfilment.
• Generate monthly sales reports
• Order and keep organised sample stock and ingredients
• Assist with maintenance of R&D records, Office 365 and company files

Skills/experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in Sales, Customer Service, Account Management or similar
• Prior experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP (highly advantageous)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Quick learner, proactive and organised with high attention to detail
