About the RoleOur client, a global leader in measurement technologies for the mining and metallurgy sector, is seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager with strong minerals experience to drive technical sales across the Oceania region while developing the company’s long‑term minerals capability.
This is a senior, strategic role suited to someone with deep operational experience in minerals processing, geology, or metallurgy who can quickly assess new project opportunities, influence strategic planning, and support the company’s most technically demanding markets.
The position is based in Brisbane and requires frequent domestic travel, with occasional international travel.

Key Responsibilities- Engage directly with mining operations to understand bulk material process control challenges.
- Identify customer needs for on‑belt analysis systems and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Manage and grow the Oceania sales territory (Australia, NZ, PNG, New Caledonia, Fiji), with a strong focus on Australian projects.
- Prepare high‑quality proposals, bids, and tenders for competitive project opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and timely sales information in Salesforce.
- Produce technical marketing content including application notes, presentations, brochures, and trade press articles.
- Educate customers, engineering firms, and industry partners on Scantech’s technologies and applications.
- Support the planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, and strategic customer engagements.
- Contribute to annual market planning, budgeting, and global Sales & Marketing meetings.
- Provide senior technical input to global Sales & Marketing Managers, particularly for minerals applications.
- Participate in high‑priority project meetings and strategic travel as required.
Selection CriteriaTo be successful, you will bring:
- 12 years’ experience in operational, technical, or planning roles within the minerals industry.
- Qualifications in Minerals Processing, Metallurgy, Geology, or Process Engineering.
- Strong capability in assessing new project opportunities and providing technical sales support.
- Proven ability to negotiate and sell complex technical systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
- A self‑driven approach with strong time‑management and prioritisation skills.
- Solid understanding of the mining sector and mineral processing operations.
- Flexibility to travel interstate and internationally (approx. 40%).
- A current Australian passport and driver’s licence.
