About the role
Our client is a global leader in the development and manufacture of innovative functional food ingredients, supplying high-quality nutritional solutions to customers across the food, beverage, and nutraceutical sectors worldwide.
They are seeking a hands-on R&D Laboratory Technician to join their Brisbane-based Research & Development team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with laboratory or food manufacturing experience who enjoys working across product development, pilot plant trials, equipment maintenance, and laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory and pilot plant equipment
  • Support product development trials and testing activities
  • Coordinate equipment calibration and servicing
  • Prepare samples for customers, distributors, and stability studies
  • Monitor laboratory consumables and raw material inventory
  • Assist with laboratory administration, documentation, and purchase orders
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant laboratory environment
Skills/Experience
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related scientific discipline
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a food manufacturing, laboratory, or product development environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Motivated, hands-on, and eager to learn
Highly Regarded
  • Experience with dairy processing, spray drying, or food manufacturing
  • Experience operating or maintaining processing equipment
