Quality Assurance Officer/ Specialist

About the company/role:
Our client is an egg processing company with sites and farms located across Australia. They supply into all major retailers and uphold high quality standards. Their NSW site in S.W. Sydney is seeking an experienced QA professional to join their team. The role will report directly to the National Quality & Compliance Manager and a dotted line to the NSW Site Manager. This is a permanent, day shift role and offers opportunities for growth and career progression.
 
Duties:

• Conduct online QC checks daily – serial numbers, labelling, weight checks
• Lead internal audits and assist with external audits
• Maintain the site Quality Management System
• Provide monthly food safety training for production team members
• Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards
• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions
• Verification of processing activities

Skills/experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline
• Previous experience working in the food industry is essential
• Experience with NSW Food Authority, SQF, CFMSR, Costco, Aldi, Egg Standards of Australia is highly desirable
• Eagerness to work in a dynamic processing environment
• Excellent communication skills with attention to detail
