QC Microbiology Analyst

About company/role:

• Major pharmaceutical company
• Join the QC Microbiology team
• 6-month casual contract, likely to extend
• Full-time hours, Mon-Fri

Duties, but not limited to:

• Support the team to ensure microbiological tests performed are prepared and executed within GMP standards and approved procedures
• Perform Bioburden testing (membrane filtration, serial dilution), stasis testing, microbial identification and other microbiological techniques
• Interaction with animals and animal products (e.g. chickens, eggs)
• Travel between two different facilities 
• Maintain documentation
• Calibration of laboratory equipment
• General house keeping

Skills/experience:

• Tertiary education in Science majoring in Microbiology, Biotechnology or similar
• Previous work experience as a microbiologist and excellent knowledge of microbial techniques
• Previous experience working with animals (nice to have)
• Must have a valid driver license (to travel between sites)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail
