Our client is a food manufacturing company based in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. They are seeking a QC Analyst on a Casual contract (full time hours) basis with the strong potential to go permanent. 

Quality Control Chemist - Food 
About the company:
  • Our client is a rapidly growing food manufacturer based in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. They are currently seeking a Quality Control Chemist – Food on a permanent full-time basis. 
About the role:
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, your responsibilities may include:
  • Quality control testing of food samples
  • Wet chemistry and physical analysis
  • Complete documentation and data entry
  • Follow company procedures and protocols
  • Using the company SAP system
  • General housekeeping
About you:
  • Bachelor of Science, majoring in Food Technology or Chemistry 
  • Good understanding of HACCP & GMP requirements. 
  • GC knowledge is desired however not essential. 
  • Previous working experience within a laboratory environment performing wet chemistry testing (ideally on food samples or within a GMP organisation) 
  • Quality-focused individual 
  • Great attention to detail 
  • Ability to work within a team 
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Capability to multitask and prioritise efficiently 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
