About the Company/role:
Our client, a well-known TGA-licensed radiopharmaceutical manufacturer, is currently searching for a QC Chemist to work on a permanent basis on an early morning shift within their production facility. Reporting into the Production Manager, this role is essential for our client’s day-to-day quality functions, including product sample analysis and reporting.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Testing of raw materials and finished products
  • Conduct routine physical and chemical testing - HPLC, GC, TLC etc.
  • Enter and maintain accurate records of all tested products.
  • Understand and keep current with all laboratory safety, quality and reporting techniques. 
  • Assisting in compounding and dispensing of products when required
As this role is a permanent opportunity, candidates are required to hold permanent residency as a minimum. The hours for this role are 4am-12pm, candidates with access to their own vehicle and an unrestricted driver’s licence will be highly regarded. Initial training period will be 8am-4pm.
 
Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field
  • Experience working within a chemical or analytical lab performing QC testing
  • Experience working within sterile manufacturing is desirable
  • Proven ability to work within a fast-paced environment
  • Positive can-do attitude and a proven ability to show initiative
  • Access to own transport required and an unrestricted driver’s license is preferred
