QA Supervisor

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join the team in regional VIC as a QA Supervisor.

About the role:

• Permanent opportunity
• Full-time hours, Monday – Friday
• Normal business hours (8am-5pm)
• Based close to Mildura, VIC

Reporting to the Quality Manager, your duties include, but not limited to:

• Supervise the QC analysis of products and QC checks along the processing line. Ensure all quality matters and procedures are followed in accordance to company and accreditation standards.
• Oversee stock management of laboratory consumables and equipment
• Assist in the management of quality and food safety systems
• Investigation of customer complaints, non-conformances and out-of-specification results
• Conduct hands-on QC chemistry testing and analysis of results
• Ensure compliance to GMP and HACCP requirements
• Conduct and participate in internal and external audits
• Provide training and development to staff
• Review and update QMS documentation
• Support Quality Manager in quality-related matters

Skills & experience:

• Tertiary education in Science majoring in Food Science, Chemistry or similar
• Proven experience within the food/beverage manufacturing environment within the Quality team
• Must have hands-on supervisory experience
• Experience in NATA laboratory practices and QC analysis
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP and FSANZ
• Technical training and accreditations (HACCP and BRC Quality Management)
• Excellent time management skills and ability to lead and mentor a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
