QA Coordinator

About company/role:

• Food/beverage manufacturing company
• Seeking a confident and qualified QA Coordinator ready to join the team immediately
• Short-term casual contract
• Full-time hours, Monday-Friday (8am-4.30pm)
• ASAP Start!

Duties/responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Lead QC analysis of raw materials, finished products and sensory evaluations, and in-process checks
• Conduct internal calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Conduct daily GMP walks and GMP audits
• Investigate and manage customer complaints and non-conformances
• Provide quality-related support to operations
• Develop and maintain documentation for QA and food safety activities
• Ensure HACCP procedures are followed and risk assessments are completed
• General laboratory housekeeping

Skills/experience:

• Tertiary education in Food Science or similar
• Must have 5 years experience in a similar position in a food or beverage manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of GMP and HACCP
• Must have previously led audits and maintained QMS
• Ability to build relationships with junior and senior staff across different departments
• Must be adaptable and have high attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
