About the company:

Our client, a reputable packaging organization is rapidly growing.  They manufacture packaging products for the Food and dairy industry.  They are currently seeking a Quality Officer to join their thriving organization on an ongoing basis.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager this is a significant leadership role and is crucial for the ongoing success of this site.  This role will be based in the Southeastern suburbs of Melbourne.

About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Compliance Associate who is versatile and highly competent. Reporting through to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for addressing quality concerns and facilitate solutions that lead to customer satisfaction.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Customer compliance
  • Investigation of customer complaints and non-conformances
  • Writing reports
  • Customer support
  • Attending to Quality issues
  • Production line checks
  • Assist with QC testing for investigations
To be successful in this position you will have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Science, Manufacturing or Engineering required
  • HACCP/ Food Safety qualification desirable.
  • Previous experience in the manufacturing environment ideally food or pharmaceuticals
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Leadership skills or 2IC for Process Improvement Manage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have strong skillset in Root cause analysis and 5 why
  • Need strong skillset in FSMS updates and FSSC
  • Ability to work across different departments, Sales, Production, Technical, Maintenance etc.
  • Need to have run or been part of certification/ customer audits
  • Run GPM training Program
  • Microsoft Office - especially Excel
  • Ability to work across several sites
  • Data analysis and report writing
