About the Company Our client is a growing pharmaceutical manufacturer operating within a highly regulated GMP environment. With a strong focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, they are seeking an
experienced Manufacturing Team Lead to support production operations and help drive team performance across the manufacturing floor.
About the Role This is a casual opportunity with consistent full-time hours and the potential to transition into a permanent position after approximately 6 months. Reporting to the Production Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing activities, supporting production staff, and ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with GMP requirements.
You'll be involved in:
- Leading, coaching and supporting a team of manufacturing operators
- Coordinating daily production activities to achieve manufacturing targets
- Allocating labour and resources to maximise efficiency and productivity
- Ensuring all manufacturing processes comply with GMP requirements, SOPs and quality standards
- Preparing materials, documentation and staffing requirements for upcoming production runs
- Monitoring production processes and resolving operational issues as they arise
- Managing manufacturing records, batch documentation, deviations and corrective actions
- Training team members and supporting ongoing skills development
- Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring workplace compliance
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
You'll Be a Great Fit If You:- Have experience working in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, nutraceutical or other GMP-regulated manufacturing environments
- Have 1-2 years' experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, Leading Hand or similar leadership role
- Possess a strong understanding of GMP requirements and manufacturing documentation practices
- Have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Can effectively manage and motivate a production team in a fast-paced environment
- Are committed to quality, safety and continuous improvement
- Lead by example and take ownership of team outcomes
- Have strong communication skills and enjoy developing others
