About the company/role:
  • Join a leading food processing operation and play a key role in driving safe, efficient, and high-quality production outcomes.
  • Seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor to lead shift operations, support team development, and champion continuous improvement across the plants
  • Based in regional VIC (close to Mildura)
  • Permanent opportunity
  • Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
  • 4-on-4-off rotating night and day shifts of 12 hours in length during the processing season, and assist in the maintenance shed during the off-season

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate production activities to maximise throughput, minimise downtime, and achieve operational targets.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Monitor plant performance, maintain accurate production records, and ensure product quality and traceability requirements are met.
  • Develop, coach, and support team members through training, multi-skilling, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, improve quality, and lower operating costs.
  • Assist with budget management, cost control, reporting, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Conduct audits, enforce company policies and procedures, and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Support plant projects, maintenance initiatives, and serve as a key escalation point for major production issues.

Skills/experience:
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing, processing, or production environment.
  • Must have fitting/welding qualifications and maintanence experience
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational performance and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with production reporting, quality systems, and budget management
