Production Supervisor

About the company/role:

• Major dairy manufacturing company
• Based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne
• Permanent opportunity on afternoon shift
• 10hr shifts, Monday - Thursday

Duties, but not limited to:

• Supervise and manage the production team, technicians and other manufacturing staff
• Provide training to new staff and ongoing development for existing staff
• Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback and implement corrective actions
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer orders and demand forecasts
• Ensure adequate staffing, materials and equipment are available and properly allocated
• Work closely with other departments such as Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, etc
• Maintain adherence to quality and regulatory standards
• Identify areas for continuous improvement, safety risks and analyse production processes to identify inefficiencies

Skills & experience:

• Proven experience in a similar position in dairy manufacturing or similar highly regulated food manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge and understanding of dairy products and processes (highly regarded)
• Tertiary education in chemistry or engineering (highly advantageous)
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Team collaboration and strong leadership skills
