Production Leading Hand

About company/role:

• Seeking a Production Operator ready to step up into a Production Leading Hand position
• Food/beverage manufacturing company with a strong focus on innovation and new technologies
• Based in the Western suburbs of Melbourne
• Permanent opportunity, full-time
• Must be flexible to work day and afternoon shifts
• Full training provided

Reporting to the Production Manager, your duties include, but not limited to:

• Oversee and carry out pre-operation checks and associated tasks
• Oversee production staff members (5-6 per shift)
• Conduct quality and maintenance checks
• Hands-on operation of production equipment 
• Maintain accurate documentation and production data
• Follow SOPs and manufacturing instructions accurately
• Ensure GMP standards

Skills/experience:

• Proven experience in a similar role in the food/beverage manufacturing industry
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership and initiative
• Understanding of GMP and HACCP
• Strong leadership skills, excellent technical understanding of process and commitment
