Product Development Lead

About the company/role:
Our Sydney office is recruiting for a Product Development Lead to work within a leading manufacturer providing fresh food product ranges for several different customers including service companies and leading retail chains. The business is a leading Australian company and has a long and stable history with an established footprint in its space. This Product Development Lead will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver NPD projects with agreed customer timelines.
 
Duties:

• Deliver product development projects with agreed timelines
• Manage projects through NPD Stage Gate process
• Ensure products meet Australian regulations and standards (FSANZ, ACCC & other food compliance requirements)
• Complete documentation and product specifications
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure full completion of project life cycle

Skills/experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology and or Food Science or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a high care food manufacturing setting with short shelf-life products
• Experience working with QSR
• Exposure to soups/ sauces in a previous role is highly regarded
• Proven experience managing projects or customer accounts
• Excellent communications and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team and build effective relationships 
• Knowledge of FSANZ, ACCC and other food compliance requirements
