Process Engineer to join the team.
Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for day-to-day metallurgical operations, along with optimization of the facility through identifying areas of improvement and non-compliances and liaising with colleagues to identify solutions.
This is a
FIFO contract position, working a
dayshift only 8:6 roster. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:- Development of daily production reports to reflect production performance, down-time causes and key metrics
- Identification of performance trends to identify areas of improvement
- Aid in preparing end-of-month/end-of-quarter/end-of-year data
- Daily walks around the processing facility to identify potential metallurgical-related issues
- Develop and drive regular and adhoc plant sampling exercises (e.g., screen panel and weightometer works, sampling compliance, equipment maintenance)
- Provide metallurgical support, including onsite and offsite process improvement test-work programs.
- Assist in developing maintenance strategies for metallurgical equipment.
- Ensure adherence to policy framework for HSEC standards and procedures.
About you:- Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Experience in SAP, Power BI and Seeq desirable
- Experience as a process engineer with process plant experience (iron ore preferable).
- Exposure to mass balancing, including process modelling software desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and strive to achieve zero harm.
- An understanding of both metallurgical-related production and maintenance.
