About the company: Our client is a delivering a major new project focused on advanced waste processing technology. They are currently in a key commissioning phase and require additional engineering support across verification and validation activities.
About the role: This hands-on Process Engineer role will support the commissioning, testing and validation of complex process systems, ensuring equipment and technologies perform in line with operational and design requirements. This role sits within a multidisciplinary engineering team and reports directly to the Engineering Lead. This is a 12-month contract which requires an Australian Citizenship and baseline security clearance.
Duties:- Support commissioning activities across process systems
- Complete and verify Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Collect and analyse process/equipment performance data
- Verify systems against user requirement and design specifications
- Ensure accurate commissioning records and documentation
- Work closely with mechanical, process and I&C engineers
- Support technology verification and validation activities
Skills/experience:- 5 years’ experience in process engineering or commissioning roles
- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering (or related discipline)
- Strong background in commissioning, validation or verification
- Experience in high hazard, process-heavy industries (oil & gas, water, desalination, beverage, etc.)
- Strong understanding of ITPs, URS and commissioning frameworks
- Hands-on engineering approach (not design or optimisation focused)
- Strong attention to detail in regulated environments
