safety, compliance, and operational excellence. About the RoleWe are seeking an
experienced Plant Operator to join a high‑performing operations team based in
Silverwater.
This is a hands‑on, site‑based role working with
pumps, valves, and fluid transfer systems in a
safety‑critical industrial environment. The position is ideal for operators who are mechanically minded and comfortable working with
pressurised systems, bulk liquids, and structured procedures.
This is a
temp‑to‑perm opportunity, with a strong likelihood of transitioning into a permanent position after approximately 12 months.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor pump and fluid transfer systems
- Open and close valves to control flow and pressure of liquids
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical and process issues (e.g. pump trips / flow interruptions)
- Operate high reach forklift (approximately 40% of the role)
- Move IBCs, drums, and bulk materials within a bonded warehouse
- Perform routine operational checks and ensure systems are running efficiently
- Follow all SOPs, safety procedures, and PPE requirements
- Support daily operations in a high‑risk industrial environment
Skills and Experience- Proven experience in industrial, manufacturing, or process environments
- Exposure to pumps, valves, fluid systems, or similar mechanical equipment
- Mechanically minded with basic troubleshooting capability
- High Reach Forklift Licence (essential) with regular hands‑on use
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow strict procedures
- Experience working in regulated or high‑risk environments
- Reliable, disciplined, and seeking a long‑term opportunity
Compliance and Safety- Full PPE is provided and must be worn at all times
- A police check will likely be required due to access to a bonded warehouse
