About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join a high‑performing operations team based in Silverwater.
This is a hands‑on, site‑based role working with pumps, valves, and fluid transfer systems in a safety‑critical industrial environment. The position is ideal for operators who are mechanically minded and comfortable working with pressurised systems, bulk liquids, and structured procedures.
This is a temp‑to‑perm opportunity, with a strong likelihood of transitioning into a permanent position after approximately 12 months.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor pump and fluid transfer systems
  • Open and close valves to control flow and pressure of liquids
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical and process issues (e.g. pump trips / flow interruptions)
  • Operate high reach forklift (approximately 40% of the role)
  • Move IBCs, drums, and bulk materials within a bonded warehouse
  • Perform routine operational checks and ensure systems are running efficiently
  • Follow all SOPs, safety procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Support daily operations in a high‑risk industrial environment

Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in industrial, manufacturing, or process environments
  • Exposure to pumps, valves, fluid systems, or similar mechanical equipment
  • Mechanically minded with basic troubleshooting capability
  • High Reach Forklift Licence (essential) with regular hands‑on use
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to follow strict procedures
  • Experience working in regulated or high‑risk environments
  • Reliable, disciplined, and seeking a long‑term opportunity

Compliance and Safety
  • Full PPE is provided and must be worn at all times
  • A police check will likely be required due to access to a bonded warehouse
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures is essential
