This is an an excellent pathway for an experienced pharmaceutical professional looking to step into a Packaging Technologist role 

Duties:


This role will involve sourcing and offering innovative packaging solutions for new products, current products and market driven packaging changes that keep in mind the safety, efficiency and impact to the running of the production lines. 

Reporting to the Global Product Projects Manager, your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Designing, developing, validating, and implementing packaging solutions for new and existing products
  • Work with marketing/sales to understand the target market and the customer's needs to improve packaging design
  • Deliver improvements to new and existing products
  • Facilitate the packaging sustainability agenda for the ANZ business
  • Regular contact with suppliers to explore alternative packaging materials for innovative solutions
  • Ensure all packaging changes comply with relevant regulations to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Providing technical advice on emerging packaging technologies including sustainability and recyclability of materials
  • Managing all internal stakeholders and external partners relationships

To be successful for this role, you will possess the following:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Science, ideally with a focus on packaging or a related discipline
  • Experience in quality or R&D within the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong interest in transitioning into packaging technology
  • Experience in plastic packaging manufacturing (highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage strategic projects effectivel
