About the Role Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a driven and personable
Occupational Hygienist with a background in
asbestos testing to join their team! This

Key Responsibilities As part of this role, you will:
- Lead asbestos inspections and identify ACMs through sample collection, analysis, and detailed reporting in a NATA Accredited laboratory, in line with AS 4964 and AS 5370 standards.
- Operate sampling equipment in diverse environments including buildings and industrial facilities.
- Accurately identify and analyse asbestos samples using stereo and polarised light microscopy (PLM).
- Communicate effectively with clients and onsite personnel regarding inspections and findings.
- Prepare high-quality documentation and reports that meet NATA-accredited standards.
What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in asbestos testing.
- Proven experience using PLM and stereo microscopes for asbestos identification.
- A valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
- Prior experience working with ISO 17025, ISO 9001, AS 5370 (formerly AS 4964), or ISO 22262.
- Recent external proficiency testing advantageous
