About the Company & Role

Join a well-established plastics manufacturer supplying products across a range of industries. We are seeking a mechanically minded Process Technician to join our night shift team in a stable, long-term opportunity with immediate start available.

• Shift: Night shift, 10pm–6am
• Days: Monday night to Saturday morning
• Type: Ongoing casual contract with strong potential for permanency within a stable manufacturing environment
  
  

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, thrives in a fast‑paced production environment, and has strong troubleshooting ability.

Key Duties:

• Monitor machinery throughout the shift to ensure smooth, continuous operation.
• Identify early signs of mechanical issues and take corrective action to minimise downtime.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and meet production targets.

• Perform full set‑ups and changeovers of dies, moulds, and associated equipment according to production requirements.
• Dismantle machinery components safely and efficiently for cleaning, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
• Diagnose mechanical or process issues and implement solutions to restore optimal performance.
• Work closely with maintenance teams when escalated repairs are required.
• Conduct thorough cleaning of production equipment, ensuring all components are free from contamination.

Skills & Experience

• Trade qualification, engineering studies, or relevant manufacturing experience highly regarded.
• Experience in plastics, extrusion, blow moulding, injection moulding, packaging, FMCG, pharmaceutical or related manufacturing environments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience performing machine changeovers and adjustments
• Forklift licence preferred
• Reliable and committed to working permanent night shift
