About the opportunities:
We are looking for graduates and young scientists who are ready to get a head start in their career and have a keen interest in learning more about the scientific industry.
Some roles may require weekend or afternoon work, and as such we are seeking candidates with a willingness to take on varying work hours. Many of these facilities are difficult to access via public transport, so please consider how you will get to work if you do not have a car and license.
General duties may include, but are not limited to:- Sample receipt and data entry
- Performing result entry in Laboratory Information Management System
- Performing Microbial plate reading and microbial identification
- Assisting with preparation, review and update of Standard Operation Procedures and Procedures for testing
- Participating in investigation of out of specification results as required
- Ensuring equipment and facilities are maintained / prepared in accordance with approved procedures
About you:- Completed or be studying a Bachelor of Science (Microbiology) or a related discipline
- Previous experience working in a lab environment desirable
- Strong work ethic
- Quality focused individual with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- A current car and license would be advantageous
