Microbiologist

About the company/role:

• Food testing laboratory
• Seeking an experienced Microbiologist to join the team
• Based close to Melbourne CBD
• 12-month casual contract
• Full-time hours, Monday-Friday

Duties/responsibilities:

• Routine analysis of food and water samples using aseptic microbiological techniques
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Media preparation
• Report writing and date entry
• General laboratory housekeeping

Skills/responsibilities:

• Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, or similar discipline
• Proven experience as a microbiologist, ideally within a NATA-accredited laboratory
• Must have prior experience in the microbial analysis of food and water related samples
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High attention to detail
