Seeking an experienced Microbiologist to join the team
Based close to Melbourne CBD
12-month casual contract
Full-time hours, Monday-Friday
Duties/responsibilities:
Routine analysis of food and water samples using aseptic microbiological techniques
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
Media preparation
Report writing and date entry
General laboratory housekeeping
Skills/responsibilities:
Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, or similar discipline
Proven experience as a microbiologist, ideally within a NATA-accredited laboratory
Must have prior experience in the microbial analysis of food and water related samples
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High attention to detail
