Seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a Leading Agrichemical Manufacturer based in the Northern Suburbs of Brisbane. This is a casual position with fulltime hours working from 6:30am-3pm Monday-Friday.
This facility is difficult to access via public transport, so a car and license will be required.
Duties will include:
Investigating equipment failures, preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide range of mechanical equipment.
Demonstrate safety and risk management practices including LOTO, Take 5 principles, Permit to work and near-miss reporting.
Collaborate with the engineering department, external contractors, equipment manufacturers and vendors to support site goals.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
Skills and Experience:
Tradesman Certificate (Cert III in Engineering or equivalent).
Restricted Electrical Work License.
High Risk License.
Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets and experience.
Experience with PLC controlled filling and packing equipment.
Strong technical and fault-finding ability.
Ability to read P & IDs, Operating Manuals and Engineering Specifications.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Sound computer skills.
Proven commitment to safety.
