Based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, this Mechanical Fitter will be employed for an ongoing 12-month contract. The successful applicant will be responsible for driving preventative maintenance activities onsite as well as coordinating with the maintenance engineering team on ad-hoc projects required for safe cGMP. Main responsibilities:
Shut down, isolate and test run machines and equipment as required for maintenance purposes.
Diagnose faults assess situations and rectify technical issues.
Provide a timely customer focused mechanical technical serv ice for faults, *I-vice and repairs.
Complete documentation and input data associated with work orders, PPs and relevant documentation.
Undertake an active role in capital projects for the improvement, optimization, and modification of existing P&E.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks following SOP's as directed.
Train operators and other team members in the optimization of plant as required.
Communicate with stakeholders before, during and after maintenance activities as the situation allows.
Ensure all equipment, and work done, is operating in line with cGMP policies and procedures.
Maintain workshop and related equipment in a clean and efficient manner relevant to a cGMP.
To be considered for the role, the ideal candidates must have:
Fitter & Turner trades qualification
This is crucial, applicants without one will NOT be considered.
Welding experience (advantageous but not mandatory)
Excellent verbal, written, communication and computer literacy skills (PLC/SAP background)
Strong experience in a pharmaceutical, FMCG or chemical production environment
Good Manufacturing Practices experience (desirable)
Sound understanding of machine operations and experience in conducting non-conformance.
