An opportunity is available for an experienced professional to lead the development, governance and growth of an ethical compliance and assurance program supporting broader ESG, responsible business and supply‑chain integrity objectives. This senior role is ideal for someone with strong experience in certification schemes, audit oversight, governance frameworks and stakeholder engagement.
 
You will play a key role in establishing and maintaining a credible, trusted compliance framework, balancing technical assurance oversight with strategic leadership, operational development and market adoption in an evolving ESG landscape.
 
About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will provide governance and technical oversight of an ethical compliance program, ensuring integrity, transparency and alignment with recognised accreditation, assurance and ESG‑related standards and frameworks. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support program implementation, scalability and long‑term sustainability, while ensuring the program remains relevant to regulatory, market and ESG expectations.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead governance and strategic development of the ethical compliance program, supporting ESG and responsible sourcing outcomes
  • Maintain program rules, procedures, technical requirements and audit methodologies
  • Ensure alignment with recognised assurance principles, ESG best practice and ISO accreditation frameworks
  • Oversee audit quality, auditor competency frameworks and non‑conformance processes
  • Provide technical interpretation and guidance to certification bodies and auditors
  • Engage with industry stakeholders to support credibility, transparency and market adoption
  • Support development and implementation of digital audit platforms and operational systems
  • Drive continuous improvement, risk management and program scalability
  • Contribute to strategic planning, projects and cross‑functional initiatives
  • Promote a culture of integrity, accountability and continuous improvement
 
About You
You are a confident and credible professional with experience in ethical compliance, assurance or certification environments. You bring strong governance capability, a solutions‑focused mindset and the ability to translate complex ESG, ethical and assurance requirements for diverse stakeholders.
 
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Law, HR, Industrial Relations or similar
  • Experience supporting or managing certification schemes, assurance frameworks or audit programs
  • Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17021‑1, ISO/IEC 17065 or similar accreditation standards
  • Experience in ESG, responsible sourcing, ethical compliance or supply‑chain frameworks
  • Demonstrated governance, risk and document management capability
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Project management experience and commercial acumen
  • High attention to detail with strong digital capability (MS Office and business systems) 
Desirable
  • Experience with digital audit platforms or compliance management systems
  • Background in certification bodies, accreditation bodies, assurance providers or industry bodies
