- Australia-based laboratory environment
- Project-based contract (May 2026 – October 2026) with potential extension
- Monday to Friday, standard working hours
- To commence in May 2026
About your duties: Reporting to the Project Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Design and execute laboratory testing plans for advanced detection equipment
- Conduct analytical testing of gases, chemicals, and environmental samples
- Analyse performance data including detection accuracy, calibration, and reliability
- Prepare clear, structured reports with insights and recommendations
- Liaise with suppliers and support equipment setup and training
- Assist in user testing and evaluation of new technologies
- Maintain laboratory standards, safety, and compliance protocols
- Manage documentation, data recording, and reporting processes
- Support ongoing improvements in testing methods and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver project outcomes
About you:- Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Science, or a related field
- Experience in a laboratory environment (analytical, environmental, or chemical testing)
- Strong understanding of lab practices, validation, and quality standards
- Exposure to gas analysis, spectroscopy, or similar techniques (advantageous)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset
