Laboratory Technician

About the company/role:
Our client is an Australian brand which supplies beverages to all the major retailers and internationally. They are seeking a food science student or graduate to work part-time in their laboratory carrying out testing on their beverage samples. Is a a part-time, day shift role (flexibility is required on working days). A car is required for this role due to the location of the site. 
 
Duties:

• Microbiological and analytical testing of beverage samples
• Ensure highest levels of HACCP and GMP by monitoring manufacturing
• Conduct Internal and GMP audits as required
• Reporting and actioning on NCRs
• Calibration of laboratory instruments daily and maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the laboratory

Skills/experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or equivalent – or currently studying
• Flexibility for working schedule mid week is required 
• A car is required due to the location of the site 
• Experience in a busy, fast paced food environment in a QA/QC function is highly regarded
• Have a keen and diligent work ethic with good people skills to work within this enthusiastic team
• Working knowledge of HACCP/GMP/GLP
• Excellent attention to detail
