This highly regulated Laboratory located in inner suburbs of Melbourne, require the assistance of Evolve Scientific Recruitment to source a
Laboratory Services Administration Officer to join the team.
A position has become available on an initial
12 month contract with view to extend.
We require an enthusiastic and reliable candidate who is willing to go that extra mile.
Skills & Experience: Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Accurate and timely registration of samples into Sample Manager – LIMS. Attention to detail is a critical element.
- Assist in the receipt and processing of samples. Observance of manual handling WHS requirements is a critical element of this task.
- Liaise with internal and external clients/stakeholders and field routine client enquiries regarding service requirements, sample submission, work progress and status using a professional customer service approach. Referring more complex service matters or complaints to Client Services or senior staff.
- Participate in projects and maintenance to improve and maintain LIMS data.
- Assist with other Laboratory Services duties when required.
Exposure and use of LIMS within a highly regulated food environment would be a distinct advantage.

You will also need to possess the following attributes:
- Diploma or Certificate in a scientific field or at least 2 years of relevant work experience in a scientific field.
- Ability to successfully work under general supervision,
- A demonstrated ability to provide excellent client and interpersonal communication skills (orally and written) in a professional manner.
- Demonstrated good working knowledge and experience of Sample Manager (LIMS) is highly desirable.
