About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Chemist to join a dynamic team working on innovative waste treatment solutions.
In this hands-on role, you’ll work across both laboratory and operational environments, supporting chemical treatment processes, in-house testing, and treatment optimisation. You’ll also contribute to research and development initiatives aimed at improving resource recovery and environmental outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with chemical treatment processes, including acid/caustic neutralisation.
  • Conduct jar tests, flash tests, and optimisation trials.
  • Collect and analyse samples from waste streams.
  • Prepare samples for external laboratory analysis and maintain accurate records.
  • Support trials on new waste streams and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS procedures and assist with chemical inventory management.
 
Skills & Experience:
  • Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of chemistry fundamentals.
  • Practical and hands-on approach, comfortable in lab and industrial settings.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and resource recovery.
  • Experience in laboratory or waste/water treatment environments is advantageous.
  • Forklift licence and driver’s licence preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Fit-tested for face masks (or willing to obtain).
