About the Role:
Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a
Graduate Chemist to kick-start their career in the waste treatment industry. This is a
permanent position with the opportunity to develop and grow your career as the business grows. This role will involve both regulatory and environmental compliance, as well as technical operational assistance. Based in Yatala, this role may also involve travel to various locations, so a driver license is required.
Duties of the role will include:- Assist in the development of treatment strategies and optimise treatment performance of the facility.
- Conduct laboratory trials.
- Sampling of incoming waste loads and cataloguing.
- Sampling treated soil and wastewater batches.
- Preparing samples for external analysis.
- Liaising with laboratories and landfills.
- Assist in maintaining site compliance with EPA and Council trade waste licences and permits.
Skills & Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Passion for environmental sustainability and innovation.
- A fork-lift license would be highly regarded.
- A positive can-do attitude
