About your duties -
Developing formulations for products, improvement of formulations, product optimisation
Using Labelling Software, artwork review, compile ingredient declarations and nutrition information panels for sample submissions in accordance with legislative requirements.
Conduct trials for product improvement, assessment of new or replacement ingredients and shelf-life extensions.
Participate in sensory assessments of products and ingredients.
Participate in preparing for and execution of production trials.
Prepare scaled up production formulations and instructions for final review and approval.
Maintain a safe workspace and carry out all duties within OH&S guidelines.
About you -
Degree in Food Science & Technology or related discipline.
3-5 years experience in the food industry especially working in NPD.
Knowledge of Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) with technical ability to interpret food regulations.
Technical knowledge of a range of ingredients, manufacturing processes and quality and food safety systems involved in food production (eg; HACCP, SQF or similar).
Competent skills in Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written & verbal.
Ability to take directions and meet deadlines.
Pro-active and self-motivated with ability to plan and task manage numerous projects simultaneously.
