Food Technical Manager

About the company/role:
Our food manufacturing client based in the Western suburbs of Brisbane are seeking a Technical Manger to join their team on a permanent basis.
As the Technical Manager you will lead the technical team to adhere to and always enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and process parameters to ensure safe and quality products are manufactured. This role will be heavily involved in internal and external audits so experience working with auditors is desirable.
Duties:

• Ensure food safety compliance in line with consumer expectations
• Provide leadership to the technical team
• Liase with key stakeholders, contractors, customers and third-party auditors
• Support the New Product Development team
• Provide technical assistance to other areas of the business as required
• Continuous improvement – suggest and implement safety, product and process improvements

Skills/experience:
 

• Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in food manufacturing environment desirable
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and customer standards is an advantage
• Attention to detail and food organisational skills
