Food Science Student

About the company/role:
Our client is a well-known dairy manufacturer based in Southwest Sydney. They are seeking a current Food Science student to join their laboratory team. This role will work 2 days per week on Mondays and Fridays. Due to the location of the site, a car is required for this role.
 
Duties:

• Microbial analysis of dairy samples (TPC, coliforms, microbial plating)
• Operate laboratory equipment (Milkoscan, Delvo, Microfoss, pH meter)
• Conduct packaging analysis (torque meter, diameter, weight)
• Record all results and escalate any issues
• Reporting and analysis of results
• Maintenance of the laboratory environment

Skills/experience:

• Current Food Science OR Microbiology student
• Availability to work Mondays and Fridays
• Access to car and license
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Proficient in using Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Responsible for following food safety rules and guidelines
