Food Science NPD Assistant

About the company/role:
Our client manufactures innovative and convenient meal solutions which they supply into major retailers across Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for a current Food Science student to gain industry experience while studying. The role is projected for 4 days per week during University break with potential to be stay part-time while you finish your studies. This is a day shift role and the working hours will be 08:30am-5:30pm.
 
Duties:

• Participate in new product formulation
• Manage documentation and data sheets for new products launches
• Assist Food Technologist with new product trials
• Conduct research on alternative ingredients and processes
• Carry out sensory evaluation of products including meat products
• Ensure products are safe to eat by shelf-life validation studies

Skills/experience:

• Current student studying tertiary qualification in Food Science
• Innovative and creative mindset with a passion for food
• Initiative and problem solving for running trials
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail when report writing
