About the Role:Our client, a multinational food company and a collector of brands across Australia and internationally, are seeking a
Food Safety & Quality Assessor to join their team based in the Northern Suburbs of Brisbane for the
afternoon shift. The role of the
Food Safety & Quality Assessor will be to adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP and process parameters at all times to ensure safe and quality products are manufactured.
This role is a
short-term casual role, offering full time hours, starting on December 15th to the end of January, with possibility of extension. This role requires you to be able to do
afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday from
3pm-11pm. The duties will include:- Conduct QC checks as required
- Perform rounds within the manufacturing area to ensure that processes and product manufacture is in accordance with the documented HACCP plans and process control procedures and monitor general factory housekeeping
- Troubleshooting - assisting production with any product or process quality issues
- Assess and analyse products identified as possible non-conformances and implement non-conforming product procedures as required
- Investigate customer complaints
- Review and sign-off of daily in-process check paperwork
- Raise and issue Corrective Action Requests and Preventive Action Requests as required
- Assist with the collection of retention samples
- Participate in third party audits
- Provide technical assistance to other areas of the business as required
- Continuous improvement - suggest and implement safety, product and process improvements
Skills & Experience:To be considered for this position, you will require:
- Experience in food manufacturing environment desired but graduates encouraged to apply;
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or equivalent;
- You must hold a valid drivers license, this role requires you to drive between sites;
- You must be able to commit to full time day shift hours;
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and customer standards is an advantage;
- Previous experience in Microsoft Excel & Word;
- Be approachable and enthusiastic;
- Enjoy and have the ability to quickly adapt to different cultures and business conditions;
- Attention to detail and good organisational skills;
- Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure;
