About the company/role:
Our client, a global environmental organization, is currently seeking an Electrical Coordinator with extensive HV switching experience to join their team in Brisbane. This would be an ongoing role with the high likelihood of extending or even becoming a permanent role with the business down the track. This role will start immediately!


This role will oversee a number of asset renewal projects and works in a current team of 4 other Project Engineers reporting to the Projects Manager.  You will be working with a global environmental organisation who take great pride in their world-class services and are experts in their field with over 40 years’ experience in water, waste and energy management.

Duties:
  • Plan and execute the full project lifecycle. Manage multiple projects simultaneously with estimated values from $10k – 500k.
  • Oversee the maintenance of electrical systems particularly high-voltage equipment ensuring safe and efficient operation in an industrial setting – provide advice on renewals and maintenance
  • Assist with business development and tender submission including scoping, project planning, design, estimating and procurement.
  • Deliver assigned projects within budget and to agreed schedule, including safe completion of all phases.
  • Identify, manage updates and issue controlled versions of all documentation that needs to be modified as a result of projects (such as drawings, manuals and operational procedures).
  • Liaise with the personnel from operations and maintenance, procurement and asset management teams to ensure successful initiation and implementation of a project.
  • Manage subcontractors and consultants for delivery of project outcomes (including site supervision of subcontractors and technical oversight of engineering consultants).

Skills/experience:
 
  • Electrical license/certification and solid HV switching experience.
  • Extensive project delivery experience within water, mining or manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to assist in financial costing, budget development, monitoring and asset management.
  • Thorough analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions to complex issues;
  • Knowledge and experience of Google suite of programs (Google Docs and Google Sheets)
  • Previously experience working in utilities/manufacturing/oil & gas sectors;
