Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Electrical Compliance Engineer with experience in electrical compliance and/or renewable energy projects to join their team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in electrical compliance, certification, regulatory requirements and renewable energy-related projects, providing technical expertise to clients across Australia.
Duties: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing electrical compliance and engineering projects across a diverse client portfolio within the pharmaceutical, food, chemical, automotive and renewable energy sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing new and existing electrical compliance projects from initial review through to completion.
Providing technical electrical engineering support to Australian-based teams and clients.
Reviewing new products and conducting technical assessments against applicable Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
Acting as the primary technical contact for electrical compliance enquiries.
Managing and maintaining EESS registrations and supporting product certification activities.
Providing guidance on electrical compliance strategies, certification pathways and long-term project planning.
Liaising with clients, testing laboratories, certification bodies and regulatory authorities to ensure project requirements are met.
Interpreting and applying relevant Australian and New Zealand Standards (AS/NZS), including those applicable to renewable energy technologies.
Supporting renewable energy projects through compliance reviews and technical assessments, with exposure to CEC-related requirements highly regarded.
Managing communications relating to electrical product compliance matters between clients and internal stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks including EESS, ERAC, ACCC, ACMA, Energy Safe Victoria, NSW Fair Trading and other applicable Australian regulatory bodies.
Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, including test reports, certificates, risk assessments and compliance files.
Conducting product evaluations, investigating technical issues, performing root-cause analysis and preparing reports and recommendations.
Supporting quality assurance activities, technical audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (essential).
Demonstrated experience in electrical engineering, compliance, certification, or technical consulting environments.
Experience within the renewable energy sector, including exposure to solar, battery storage and Clean Energy Council (CEC) requirements (highly regarded)
Strong understanding of Australian Standards (AS/NZS) and Australian electrical regulatory requirements.
Experience with EESS, ERAC, product certification processes, and electrical compliance requirements is highly regarded.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, test reports, certification documentation and compliance requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven client-facing experience.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients, regulators, certification bodies and testing laboratories.
