About the company/role:
Our client is a chemical supplies company providing materials for a wide range of laboratories in Australia, Oceania and SE Asia for over 20 years. They have a diverse product range including certified reference materials and consumables for analytical instruments. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has previous laboratory experience and is looking to transition into a fully-desk based role. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Western Sydney with standard office hours.
 
Duties:
  • Work closely with Senior Sales and Technical personnel to assist with internal sales
  • Become a key technical and application expert for their product range
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements
  • Answer customer calls and e-mails professionally
  • Provide quotations and generate invoices
  • Dispatch customer orders and liaise with courier companies
  • Assist with end-of-month reporting and file management
Skills/experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline
  • Previous experience working in a Chemistry Laboratory is highly regarded
  • Experience using ICP/ HPLC/ LCMS/ GCMS is beneficial to the role
  • Previous sales/ customer service experience would be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Eagerness to learn technical product information
  • A car is required for this role with a valid Australian drivers licence
