Headquartered within 20 km of Brisbane’s CBD, the business is continuing to expand its commercial capability and is seeking a commercially minded Business Analyst to join the team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with the Managing Director/CEO and collaborate across technical, product, sales, and commercial teams to support strategic growth initiatives, market expansion, and business planning.
About the Role As Business Analyst, you will deliver market research, commercial insights, and strategic analysis to support executive decision-making across multiple business units.
You will play a key role in market and customer analysis, forecasting, business planning, and strategic project support within a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct market sizing, forecasting, and commercial analysis to support strategic planning and budgeting
- Monitor macroeconomic trends, industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitor activity
- Analyse customer data to support segmentation, profiling, and value proposition development
- Assess customer behaviour, feedback, and purchasing trends to support product and marketing strategies
- Support strategic partnership and investment initiatives, including research and stakeholder engagement
- Prepare reports, presentations, and insights for senior leadership and executive stakeholders
- Contribute to cross-functional projects supporting business growth and commercial objectives
Skills & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline
- MBA completed or currently in progress (minimum 4 units completed)
- Demonstrated post-graduate professional experience in an analytical or commercial role
- Experience within battery technologies, life sciences, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, energy, or related industries highly regarded
- Advanced Excel skills with exposure to Power BI, Python, R, or similar analytical tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Strong analytical thinking, commercial acumen, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
