  • Seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to provide technical expertise across automated manufacturing systems and projects.
  • 12-month contract opportunity with strong potential for extension.
  • Melbourne-based role offering the opportunity to work on a range of automation initiatives within pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Duties:
Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Support the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing systems.
  • Provide technical support for automation-related projects and operational activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automation solutions that meet business and operational requirements.
  • Assist with system testing, commissioning, qualification and validation activities.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation and engineering specifications.
  • Ensure automation systems operate in accordance with quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot automation issues and support ongoing system optimisation initiatives.
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Previous automation engineering experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Experience working with automated manufacturing and control systems.
  • Understanding of GMP environments and regulated manufacturing practices.
  • Knowledge of automation system lifecycle management and validation principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
