About the company/role: This well-known government laboratory team providing routine workplace and biological monitoring. Our client is offering a 12-month maternity cover contract to an analytical chemist with mass spectrometry and chromatography background.
Duties:
Conduct routine analysis of environmental and biological samples
Operate and maintain HPLC, LC-MS, and GC-MS instruments
Process samples and prepare accurate technical reports
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper instrument performance
Follow established laboratory methods; minimal method development required
Skills/experience:
3–5 years’ hands-on analytical chemistry experience in a testing, environmental, or biological lab (desirable)
Proficiency with HPLC, LC-MS or GC-MS (required)
Routine, high-throughput lab experience
Comfortable handling urine and environmental samples
Strong time management and attention to detail; able to meet tight turnaround times
Full Australian working rights required
Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or similar.
