Currently studying a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related disciplineLocation: Smithfield, NSW 2164Perform routine water tests and record the results in the report template providedHave a valid driver’s licence and access to your own reliable vehicleAvailability to commit to 1 working day/fortnight (must be a weekday) for 12 months +About the company/role:Our client is a global leader in water treatment and provides boiler water treatment to a site based in Smithfield. You will be reporting to the Account Manager and conducting testing of water samples. This is an ideal role for a Science/Engineering undergraduate student who is looking to start their career and gain experience in the chemical/environmental sector. Duties:The successful candidate will:Perform routine water tests and record the results in the report template providedPrepare service report by copy/paste the report page in report template and add photos, comments, summary, and action listInspect conditions of plants and equipment for issues. Resolve the issues if they can be addressed safely. Otherwise, report to staff immediately so they can be addressed in a timely mannerCheck and maintain chemical levels in all run tanksAdvise Account Manager to place new orders when required Skills & Requirements:Currently studying a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline is essentialHave an interest in gaining experience within chemical/environmental testingHave a keen and diligent work ethicThe ability to work completely independently, prioritise work and respond to changing priorities and deadlines to complete assigned dutiesDemonstrated ability to follow standard procedures, regulations and OHSE requirementsHave a valid driver’s licence and access to your own reliable vehicleAvailability to commit to 1 working day/fortnight (must be a weekday) Apply!If you think this could be the role for you, then please apply now!
