About the role Reporting to the Operations and Supply Chain Director, the Plant Manager, Victoria provides the necessary leadership of the Victorian Operations and Warehouse team to ensure its goals are achieved. This includes, but is not limited to:Maintaining and promoting a safe working environment.Owns site legal, environmental, security and BCP responsibilities.Ensuring appropriate staffing levels and resources to meet the workload while achieving budget and KPI targets.Developing, implementing, and executing maintenance and facility management strategies and projects for the Braeside site.Focusing on inventory accuracy through design and adherence to core inventory processesHaving a strong focus on continuous improvement in all areas of accountability.Driving improved employee engagement as an outcome of demonstrated leadership. Be a subject matter expert to other members of the operations team by promoting the required behaviours and processesBe a subject matter expert to other members of the warehouse teams by promoting the required behaviours, processes and physical layoutOptimizing picking processes and deliveries to reduce overall distribution costsEnsuring customer promise is delivered through in full delivery Skills & experience: To be successful for this role, you will possess the following:Minimum of 15 years’ experience in a production or manufacturing management role in the chemical industry.Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related disciplinePrevious experience working with chemical or liquids would be highly regardedExperience working in a GMP manufacturing environment.Knowledge of CI improvement principals and tools (Lean, Six Sigma etc).Demonstrated ability to mix professionally and build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally. As the Plant Manager, you will be a strong leader, mentor, drive and motivate your team. You must possess initiative, enthusiasm, have the ability to make crucial decisions independently.
