Microbiology QC Analyst

About the role:

• Global pharmaceutical company
• 6 months contract with potential to extend
• Monday to Friday with standard working hours 
• Flexibility to do weekend work sometime

Working Holiday Visas with microbiology testing experience within pharmaceuticals are encouraged to apply!

About your duties -

• Perform Microbial plate reading and microbial identification
• Perform environmental monitoring and swabbing
• Perform growth promotion testing of media plates and cassettes
• Bioburden testing
• Collect agar plates and bring QC labs to incubate
• Perform result entry in Laboratory Information Management System
• Assist with preparation, review and update of Standard Operation Procedures and Procedures for testing
• Participate in investigation of out of specification results as required
• Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained / prepared in accordance with approved procedures.

About you -

• A Bachelor of Science, majoring in Microbiology or a related discipline
• As this site is difficult to access via public transport, access to a car is required
• Knowledge or working experience with Plate reading, Microbial identification, environmental monitoring, sterile gowning
• Preferably experience within the pharmaceutical industry
• Excellent communication skills and a great attitude.
